ECB SOFTBALL UNIFORMS

At ECB Softball, our uniform includes a mix of club-owned items, which are loaned to players each season, and player-owned items, which can be purchased either through the ECB Club Shop or any other supplier—as long as they meet club requirements.

Club-Owned Uniform Items (Loaned Each Season)

  • ECB playing shirts
  • Black softball pants (Juniors up to U17). Players may wear their own black pants if they prefer.

These items remain the property of ECB Softball and must be signed out by a parent/caregiver or player during the club's uniform collection/registration day.

Player-Owned Uniform Items

  • ECB Softball caps or visors (must be current design)
  • Socks:
    • U5–U11: Plain black socks
    • U13 and older: ECB forest green socks
  • Belts (U13+): ECB forest green belt
  • Softball pants: Black only, in either long or knickerbocker style
  • Undershirts: Optional, but must be black if worn
  • Cleats: Any color is allowed
  • Gloves/Mitts: Any compliant color or design (no glove needed for U5)

Note: ECB caps, visors, socks, belts, training gear, and supporter apparel are available via the CLUB SHOP.

Uniform Expectations

We take pride in our club and uniforms. Please wear your gear with care and respect:

  • Shirts tucked in
  • Only approved socks and accessories
  • No colored or mismatched items

Uniform Requirements by Grade

Under 5 - Under 11
  • ECB club-owned playing shirt
  • Black softball pants (club-owned or personal)
  • Current ECB cap or visor
  • Plain black socks
  • Closed-toe shoes (sneakers or cleats)
Under 13 - Under 19
  • ECB club-owned playing shirt
  • Black softball pants
  • Current ECB cap or visor
  • ECB forest green socks
  • ECB forest green belt
  • Softball cleats
Seniors
  • Either ECB club-owned playing shirt or team supplied shirts (see guidelines below)
  • Player owned: Black softball pants or tights (Div 3 only) 
  • Current ECB cap or visor
  • ECB forest green socks or team can seek approval to wear black socks 
  • ECB forest green belt
  • Softball cleats

The whole team must wear the same uniform. 

  • Shirts: Either ECB club-owned playing shirts, or team-supplied shirts (see guidelines below)
  • Pants: Player-owned black softball pants (long or knickerbocker style).
    • Grey pants are permitted, but the entire team must match.
    • Div 3 Ladies may wear black shorts or tights
  • Socks: Team must match in either black or ECB forest green
  • Belt: ECB forest green belt
  • Cap/Visor: Current ECB version
  • Cleats: Moulded or metal cleats

Note: Metal cleats can only be worn on Diamonds 1, 2, 9, and 10. Fines apply for violations.

    Returning Club-Owned Uniforms

    All club-owned uniform items must be returned immediately after your team’s final game of the season.Unreturned items will be invoiced at replacement cost:

    • $70 per playing shirt
    • $70 per playing pants
    • Full set: $140

    The club cannot cover the cost of lost or unreturned gear—thank you for your cooperation.


    Custom Senior Team Player Shirts or Merchandise - 

    Senior teams may choose to get a sponsor or self-fund team shirts. Shirts must follow these guidelines:

    • Must be approved by the ECB Committee
    • Must feature the ECB logo
    • ECB has an exclusive supplier agreement with New Balance until 2027—all shirts must transition to New Balance by then.
