Hi,

I’m Bron and I’m proud to be your new Club Captain. My journey with ECB spans over 20 years – as a Player, Coach, Parent, and Committee member.

Stepping into the role of Senior Club Captain has always been a personal goal of mine, and I’m incredibly grateful for the support from the committee and our wider club community. I’m passionate about player development and continuing to strengthen the pathway from Junior grades right through to our Premier teams.

I will be focusing closely on the U15/U17 girls and U17/U19 boys – supporting them as they progress into senior grades that align with their individual goals and aspirations, whether that's Premier, Reserve, Division 3 or social. It’s about finding the right space where they can thrive and feel confident in their journey.

Our Premier Men’s team is entering their third season, and I’ll be supporting their continued growth while also working alongside Harrison and Jack Baker (U17/19), Hayden Schmidt (Div1), Tyrone Crewe (PRM), and Fergus McAlpine (Prems) to ensure a consistent flow of talent through the pathway.

For our Premier Reserve Women, I’ll be working with coaches Troy, Hannah and Tyrone Crewe (U17/19), Calum McAlpine (Div1), and Tracy King (PRW) to enhance the transition from juniors to seniors for our young wāhine – and to shape what the future of our Premier Women’s space can look like and eventually hopefully a prem women's team.

Our Division 3 Men and Women teams represent the heart of our ECB whānau – bringing together parents, supporters, and longtime players in a social, supportive environment that reflects our values of community and connection.

At ECB, there’s a place for everyone and with Richard and Tracey beside me, and our vibrant committee backing us, I’m excited to help build on the strong foundation that ECB is known for. The foundation of all we do is built on our club’s strong family-oriented values. Every member has a voice, a place to belong, and an opportunity to be their best.
