CLUB CAPTAIN'S UPDATE (Bron and Tracey) It’s been super exciting watching registrations steadily roll in — the season is well and truly on its way! Your committee has been hard at work behind the scenes, planning a mix of fun family activities and making sure the foundations are set for a successful summer ahead. One of the big projects on your Club Captains' agenda is growing our female competition over the next two seasons. So if you’ve got a sister, a girl-friend, or a cousin who’s keen to give it a go, bring them along to our Have-a-Go Day on Saturday, September 6th at 1pm, Freyburg Park. It’s the perfect chance to get involved, meet the crew, and see what our club is all about. Another focus area for us is working alongside our new President, Richard, on strengthening the U15/U17 Girls’ pathway. We’re passionate about creating development opportunities for our players along with specialised clinics. To kick things off, we’re inviting all players (and parents) involved or interested in the U15/U17 Girls Friday night competition to a special meeting: U15/U17 Girls & Parent Get-Together Come along for a casual chat with Richard, myself, our Senior Club Captain, and some of our coaching team. We’ll share plans for the season, talk about player retention and development, and—most importantly—listen to your thoughts and feedback and own personal development goals. 2025/26 SEASON REGISTRATIONS We’ve already had over 130 registrations for the season, and our Club Captains are starting to form teams. If you’re planning to play, please make sure you register soon so you’re included in the team numbers. 📧 Questions about your team/grade? We have multple payment options or contact Suzette (treasurer@ecbsoftball.org.nz) to set up a payment plan.
