Welcome to the new 2022/23 season. The countdown is on to the first pitch being thrown on Saturday!

UPDATES

UNIFORM COLLECTION:
If you have not collected your playing uniform, then please visit us in the ECB Gazebo from 8am -11am on Saturday 8th October - we will be set up behind Dia3.

Caps and Visors: if you pre-ordered a cap or visor, then these will be available for you to collect as well. We will also have caps, visors, belts and socks available for purchase if you need them.

WHATS HAPPENING ON SATURDAY - OPENING DAY

Birkdale Falcons will have multiple food and fun activities setup for the opening weekend on Saturday so come along and support the hard work they have put into setting this up for this weekend.
Canteen and Bar:
- Canteen will be open from 8:30am
- Bar will be open from 12pm
Evening Entertainment:
- The evening entertainment will start around 7pm with the Band.

WEEKLY TEAM DRAWS:
Draws are tentative and subject to change for any reason until finalised on Wednesday at 5pm. (changes can occur to diamonds, times and BYE status). Please always check your team draw after this time to ensure you have the correct information for your team. TIP: Save our ECB team draws webpage to your phone homepage to locate quickly.

A NOTE FROM OUR TREASURER - Suzette
Fees are due by the first playing Saturday 08 October, unless you have a payment plan in place prior to season start. To discuss payment of fees and options please email treasurer@ecbsoftball.org.nz

YELLOW VESTS: North Harbour Softball have advised that a Yellow Vest is required on all Junior Games. This is one parent from each team that wear the Yellow Vest and keep an eye on your team/parent's behavior during the games. Umpires will confirm if Yellow Vests are worn on the team cards.

UMPIRE MY KIDS GAME SESSION: When your team is first on the draw you are required to provide an umpire for the game. This is a session specifically for our U7-U11 parents who would like to be involved and umpire their kids games. The umpiring session will take you through basic rules and give you confidence. This will be held on Tuesday 11th October in the Umpires lounge (outside of the Clubrooms behind Dia10) From 7pm.

We would like to see at least 2 parents from each team attend this session. So please reach out to your manager if you would like to help out your team.

GREEN CAP SCORERS: North Harbour Softball has a Green Cap Programme to help those that are scoring their children's games. This goes through the basics of scorers for beginners and fortnightly on Tuesday at 6pm in the scorers room, Pure Athletic Stadium. The next sessions are 18th October, 01 November, 15 November..etc..
