Kia ora,
Wow what an amazing start to the season with a sea of green throughout the park. We haven't been given much time to rest as this Saturday 15 October we have our Club Duty Day.
CLUB DUTY DAY - Saturday 15 October
Each club has two duty days throughout the season. Club Duty Day is when ECB needs to make sure that the running of the day goes smoothly. Our senior teams put out the bases, waste bins in the morning and pull them back at night. We also need to ensure the control room is manned from 8.30am - 1.30pm and game cards given out and collected.
Club Duty Day also gives us an opportunity to fundraiser at the park. This Saturday we are holding a Bake Sale fundraiser along with other fundraising initatives.
So we are calling on all our ECB bakers out there to please help by bring a plate of cookies, cupcakes, cake, brownies etc.. for us to sell for the fundraiser. If you could please drop off your masterpieces behind diamond 3 from 8am that would be great.
If baking isn't for you, you can still help by volunteering 30 minutes to man the control room. An easy job for 1 or 2 people for short 30 minute slots. Currently we only have had parents from under 9, under 11, under 15 grades that have volunteered, but still have a lot of slots to fill. Please let us know if you can help at secretary@ecbsoftball.org.nz
We are appreciative of any level of support given. Be it baking, manning the control room, helping the committee with the bake sale or just offering a helping hand.
