Happy Halloween!!! It’s Game Time — The Season Kicks Off This Weekend! 🥎 We’re all set for an exciting start to the softball season, with our first games getting underway this Saturday! Tonight we have our U17/19 Small Sox taking on Northcote on their first Friday night game, come on down and show your support at 6pm, Freeman Field. It’s a great chance to cheer on one of our club’s rising stars and get into the softball spirit ahead of opening day and avoid trick or treaters! We can’t wait to see everyone back out on the diamonds. Here are a few important things to know for this weekend: 🧢 Uniform pick-up & RMHC donation drop-off: ECB Gazebo at Diamond 8, from 7am–11am 📲 TeamReach: Make sure you’ve joined your team’s group and marked your availability for games and trainings. 🗺️ Park Map: Take a look at the park map to familiarise yourself with the diamond layout. Food Drive for Ronald McDonald House 📅 This Saturday, 1st November We’re proud to be supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) — an incredible organisation that helps keep families close while their child is receiving medical care away from home. Many of our players’ families have been supported by RMHC over the years, so this cause is especially close to our hearts. Anything we can do to give back is greatly appreciated. If you’re able to contribute, please bring along any of the following long-life pantry staples to support the families staying at RMHC: Dried pasta, Noodles, Baked beans, Spaghetti, Crackers, Biscuits, Cereals. Every little bit helps! 💛 Donations can be dropped off at the ECB gazebo by Diamond 8 this Saturday. |
A MESSAGE FROM OUR CLUB CAPTAINS - HOW TO USE TEAM REACH Each team has a TeamReach group, which is an important tool for coaches and managers to organise games and training sessions. Please make sure you mark your attendance on all calendar events — including games and trainings — so your coach knows whether you’re available to play. If you’re not marked as “Yes”, you may not be included in the lineup. If you know you can’t make a game, please give your team as much notice as possible. This allows coaches time to arrange fill-in players from other teams, helping to ensure your team can still take the field. It’s also important to note that if a team defaults after the Friday deadline, North Harbour Softball charges a default fee to that team. By keeping your availability up to date and communicating early, you can help your team avoid unnecessary fees and disruptions. Your cooperation makes a big difference — thank you for helping keep the season running smoothly!
