What do these roles involve?
Below is a brief description of each role -  If this sounds like you please complete the nomination form and throw your hat in the ring.

President:  they represents the club at ceremonial and offical events, they prepresent ECB at NHSA meeting, forums and other regional meetings. They chair all the committee meetings and any General Meetings.

Club Captain: works with NHSA to maximise development opportunities for all members of the club - players, coaches, umpires, supporters.  They are vice president of the club and appoint coaches, managers to teams.  They produce a club development plan and work alongside the club secretary to allocate selecting playing teams.

Junior Club Captain: works with Club Captain in development opportunities, primarily our younger players and teams. Liaises with local schools on youth competition, ensures a player pathway is in place, co-ordinates the recruitment of junior players, coaches and managers.

Secretary: Is the first point of contact for people within and outside the club on most aspects of club activities. They prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes for meetings, they maintain an accurate register of club members for the information required by NHSA. They are the point of contact for all club business including NHSA updates and any enquiries directed at the club.

Michelle' talks secretary role:

Why is this role available? With trainings, playing, coaching a junior team, helping with pitcher development, add the layer of being busily self employed and parenting. It became apparent that something had to give. So as rewarding as the secretary role is, I made the difficult decision to resign as as club secretary mid-term.  This has created a casual vacancy through to the end of it's term at next years AGM.

In my opinion this role is best suited to someone whom may be parent/player/general softball enthusiast who is not already heavily saturated in other commitments and is looking for a way to make a valuable contribution. They'd have good time management, communication and computer skills.  You'd work closely with the amazing committee and Suzette (Treasurer) who was secretary for many years and knows what needs to be done. I am also available to help.  If you are keen to look at this role please apply on the nomination form or feel free to give me a call to discuss .. Michelle 021713558

Committee Members:
Our Comittee members are allocated different committee roles - all which help with the running of the club.  We have members that look after gear allocations, uniforms, merchandise, communications, fundraising, grants, sponsorship, trophies, supporting club captains with development, look at process improvement and they make things happen. Sub-committees are formed to help organise larger events like prizegiving, registration day, ECB vs ECB fun day, have a go days.  The committee is motivated and #ecbproud, they make the club work.
